Abstract

Adventure Body Practices (abbrevieted “PHC” in Portuguese) are potentially rich themes to be developed in the school context, looking at the body culture that surrounds them, bringing with them pertinent discussions regarding their access, commodification and presence in the media, as well as the preservation of environment. From this, the objective of the present study is approach the “PCA” thematic presence in Physical Education classes, analyzing studies that deal with reports or analysis of aspects of pedagogical practice. For this, we conducted a state-of-the-art research, mapping academic productions in the field and observing how the topic is approached. PCA in schools must consider the complex and dynamic reality of our society, addressing bodily culture and sociocultural aspects broadly, enabling critical formation. Moreover, it is essential to have knowledge of and engage in critical debate about the state of the art of the themes to be addressed in the studies so that the research problem aligns with the academic advancements in the field under study.
