Abstract

Based on information from literature and from material deposited in the entomological collection of Museu Nacional/UFRJ, a list with 173 species of Sarcophagidae (Diptera) recorded from the Rio de Janeiro State is given. Distributions by municipalities and literature related to the records are also presented.
