Fanniidae (Diptera) of Rio de Janeiro State (Southeastern Brazil): Inventory of Species and Notes on Biology and Distribution

Résumé

The inventory of the Fanniidae (Diptera) of the Rio de Janeiro State (Atlantic Forest area), with notes on the distribution of the species is presented. The inventory was based on literature and on the exam of Museu Nacional/UFRJ collection. Thirty species distributed in two genera were recorded and five new records were registered. The areas with species records were presented in a map.
