CURSO DE EDUCAÇÃO FÍSICA DE VOLTA REDONDA: MEMÓRIAS E TRAJETÓRIA
Abstract
The text deals with the creation of the Physical Education course in Volta Redonda. The aim was to analyze data and phenomena from its foundation and its foundations. We used the New History and the following sources: official documents, questionnaires (staff, teachers and directors) and an unstructured interview with the first Physical Education teacher in the region, as well as consulting notes and printed materials. The time period under analysis spans from 1967 to the end of the 1990s. The course was built with institutional motivation, supported by the national political context. We highlight the first phase of the course for its direction and teaching staff, as well as its structural limitations and the value placed on extension events and socializing with the university community.
