the phenomenality of life from the assumptions of Husserl and Heidegger and clinical contributions

Abstract

The Phenomenology of Life, of Michel Henry, considers that the traditional phenomenology leaves indeterminate its own assumptions. Departing from some of Nathan Sawaya's installation – The Scream, Self Portrait, Sing, The Saxophone – that were part of the exhibition The Art of the Brick – 2016, we will show how Henry raises this indeterminacy to then show its operability in the psychological clinic. Life in its primary emergence reveals itself as what we live in. It’s for this life we live that the work of Nathan Sawaya reminds us of ourselves as: I am my cry, I am this tearing, I am the song I sing, I am the instrument I play. It’s in the light of this feeling that will be evaluated the possibilities of a clinical psychology from the phenomenal affection of life which we are given to feel.
