the boderline personality disorder in a hermeneutic phenomenological interpretation

Abstract

The present article intends to think the Borderline Personality Disorder from a phenomenological-hermeneutic method. Such a questioning methodology arises explicitly with the philosopher Martin Heidegger so that his thought makes essential the relation between phenomenology and hermeneutics. From this thought and method, the possibility of a repositioning in relation to what is called mental illness arises: a solipsist interpretation is avoided and a historical interpretation of certain mental disorders comes into play, which in the present writing is fixed in the Borderline Personality Disorder. Thus, the article evokes the need to retake the most basic hermeneutical gesture of positioning phenomena in general - and the Borderline Personality Disorder in particular - to a previous semantics that constitutes it.
